A Good Solid Start

This first book in what feels like a promising series. There is a mystery to solve, a possible murder, creepy location and ghosts. It is more fun with Mr. Doyle and Oscar Wilde fumbling along trying to solve it before it’s too late.
We meet Mr. Doyle who has just become the most hated man in the UK. He killed Sherlock ! He has a strange meeting with a medium who sets him and Oscar Wilde on a journey to save this medium from her own murder which she believes she has had a premonition of. They travel to Thraxton hall which has all the gothic feel a creepy old house should.
I didn’t love the story but I was intrigued enough to continue the series. it was a first book and a good starting read.
