Audio-3.4 stars. This is a difficult romance. A prickly spinster type and an ex rake. They have been fighting since they first laid eyes upon each other. They fight, and fight, meanwhile her past is coming back to haunt her and his future is in great danger of loss. The best character- Dodger the Ferret, he steals every scene.I found it predictable, this story just didn't surprise me at all. I enjoyed it, the characters, all are very well written, I just thought the plot was a bit weak. I can't wait to read the next book which I hope to be Beatrice's book- I love her and her animals.
