I had a hard time rating this book. I really liked the mystery and the characters. Mick and Coyote are my favorites. Both stole the story from the main character Janet (IMHO) she became predictable towards the end. I have hope for her in the next book, she started out very intriguing. The mystery, where is a young girl and who is killing women ? It was going so well, twisted and mixed trails had me thoroughly interested, till BAM it was solved. It seemed rushed and anti-climatic for all the build-up. The sex was well placed in the beginning of the story and seemed a bit out of place towards the end as well, forced into the story ? It just did not feel right with what was happening to the characters. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed this story and loved the characters, for 3/4 of the book. It was the last 1/4 that dropped the ball for me. Too rushed of a ending ! I still think it s a worthy read, it had an interesting plot, well written characters and was unique. I have purchased the second book and can't wait to revisit these characters and see if their tale develops at a better pace.
