Samson's Lovely Mortal (Scanguards Vampires, #1)

Samson's Lovely Mortal - Tina Folsom This is the second book I've read by this author and I am pleasantly impressed. The characters are delightful and well written. The story travels at a nice pace and never lulled. Even the sex was tasteful and believable without being too descriptive,Samson a damaged powerful sexy vampire, is trying to over a lack of firmness in his life. He was betrayed, yes by an evil vampire power hungry woman. Since then he can't rise to the occasion, if you get my meaning. *Wait now, that is not what this book is all about. This lack of interest has him depressed on his birthday, when suddenly a stranger arrives on his door. She is wet, scared and needs his help. He thinks she's a stripper sent by his friends. He finds this stripper has him at full interest again and kisses her. (this is where the fun starts) She isn't a stripper, she is being chased by some weirdo and she can't wait to get away from weirdo #2 of the night. Well, he does not just let her go, she is the first woman in a long time to interest him. he gentleman's up and sends her home and starts a wonderful romance. The side characters are a blast of fresh air. I loved them all. My favorite- Amaury, the sex slut of a man without emotions and yet his skill is that he can feel others emotions. They all have special gifts that vampirism have given them.I will read the next book in this series.
