Darker and Detailed

4.4 I loved it but I didn't love the experience, completly. Why ? A character didn't act like I wanted him to, and there was too much detailing. Oh yeh that makes sense. LOL
I wanted better for my boy George. I knew him as a sweet innocent child, I watched him grow, and loved him. It was hard to watch the man who is now so dark, left with no trace of that boy I loved. I think this is the first time I've read a book where I fell for the child and had to face the grown up they became.
I did love the quirky permanent inn guest, Caldenia. What a fabulous guest she is ! Beast and the unnamed cat huge wining characters. My favorite character had to be Orro, the prickly Master Chef. He has a hotter temper than a certain TV Chef screamer we all know and watch.
The story was filled with political drama, twists, and a lot of details. There were some parts I did skim over, I just didn't care about the weapon, or the military system. I'm not a stickler for little details, I'm okay with light glossing over.
Sean, I was thinking where is Sean I want to see Sean again. Does he ever come back ? Big reveal, on that front. The Andrews are teases !
So where is book 3 ?
