Oh my. Ms. Kenyon, does love to put her men through some seriously horrific life events. She takes a man with nothing but a broken soul, a lack of hope, no self worth and she blows him up just when he saw a bit of light in his darkness. I can hear her wicked thoughts "Mwhahahahhahhahha yes, my dear you can feel lower than pound scum, just you wait and see Sweetie." Oh she is so mean. :D I'd hate this if I don't know there will be a HEA at the end.
