No More Booklikes, BYE

Urban fantasy is my favorite gene, and this author got it right for my taste. There is evil, death, darkness, an evil city presence and several kick-arse powerful people to fight for justice. Witches with unique powers, they are not the bippty bop, easy wave your wand type. They specialize, they study, they tie themselves to other for strength. The main character has a job, bills, stress, and doubts, he's lusty but is not controlled by his hormones. The supporting characters all had such diverse personalities it really added to the interest level of the story, any of them could carry their own book. Horror, humor, action, mystery and complete world building.

Agent Cesar Hawke, a witch PI and training member of The Office of Preternatural Affairs is about to have his limits tested. Something has been mutating bodies in a very disturbing pattern. The case has him joining up with, his partner Suzy a tough no nonsense witch, Isobel, a sexy necrognitive witch, and his billionaire boss Fritz. Suzy and Cesar cross the city following bodies and leads while Isobel raises the dead spirits to reenact their deaths. Nothing makes sense, there seems to be no connection until they start to notice an odd connection that may lead to somebody in their circle becoming a target on a nearly unstoppable power. Helltown, a city filled with demons is not a place you want to go to at anytime and never after dark but this team may be forced into facing the horrors.

I needed the book wanting more, always a good sign. I want to hear more about these characters. I plan of reading the earlier books in this series very soon.Witc
