Penny Took Me Away

Omg this was just what I needed. After living through a hurricane (Harvey) then a horrendous downpour for 4 days, 52" of water and city devastation I needed some mental relief. Penny Reid was my choice and I picked well. Her characters are always completely engaging, the story always fun with a touch of wacky, and her snark is perfection. This one was wonderful, my heart smiled for the first time in a week.
Quinn, the quirky, super focused guy with serious relationship issues. Janie, is the overthinking, analyzing, socially awkward brainiac with relationship issues. Together, they make an uncomfortable near match, back and forth, it's almost sad except it's really just too funny to watch them stumble. It's a romance, you know what happens I don't need to say more.
I love Penny Reid's writing.
